# Audience questions

Audience Questions lets people ask you questions rather than answer a poll you created. It requires Premium.

## Enable Q&A

In the talk workspace, enable **Audience Questions**, then run the talk. Audience members can open the Q&A experience from the public participation overview.

Submitted questions must contain 10–255 characters.

## Vote

Audience members can vote for a question to signal interest. Selecting the vote action again removes that browser session's vote.

Voting uses anonymous session identity, not a verified person count. Clearing cookies or switching browsers changes that identity.

## Present

Open the [presenter dashboard](presenter-tools.md) to review questions ordered by votes. Select a question to send a highlight to a connected presentation, then use **Remove Highlight** when you are done.

Highlight history is not a resolved/answered status.

## Disable Q&A

Disable **Audience Questions** to close that participation feature. Disabling the feature does not delete existing questions.

In [demo mode](slidev-and-demo-mode.md), submitted questions are not saved; voting and highlighting are unavailable.
