# Sharing and audience access

## Choose a link

| Destination | Who should use it? | Purpose |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Overview | Audience | Open the talk's public participation overview |
| Question audience short link | Audience | Answer one speaker-created question |
| Feedback short link | Audience | Open built-in feedback or a configured external form |
| Dashboard | Speaker | Review and highlight audience questions |
| Live presenter results | Speaker | Display results for a speaker-created question |

Use links generated by the application. Presenter destinations require owner access and are not substitutes for public participation links.

## Audience requirements

Audience members do not need an account. Keep browser cookies enabled: participation uses a browser session, including anonymous identity for voting and feedback.

Built-in participation pages require a running talk. Audience Q&A, live reactions, and feedback also depend on their feature settings.

## Understand short-link visits

The talk workspace shows visit counters for the short overview and feedback links. Question short links also have an access counter.

These count accesses to the relevant short link, not unique people or completed submissions. Revisits can increase them, and directly opening a destination bypasses its short-link counter.

For response totals, inspect answers and feedback rather than treating visits as submissions.

## Links that stop working

Check the [talk state](talk-lifecycle.md), feature settings, and whether the talk or question was deleted. An unavailable participation destination may return a not-found page rather than a login prompt.
